Halfway between Taupo and Wellington, The River Centre provides a one-stop shop for your river - or hunger - essentials!

The River Centre is located on State Highway One, just north of the Aeroplane Cafe.
On board at the River Centre:

Broadband Internet at $5p/hr
Post Office and Postal Services
CAFE with yummy toasted sandwiches, Burgers, Salads & fresh coffees.

As for the paddling crowd...it is an ideal meeting point- to use the facilities, convienent shuttles are available, kayaking/river gear are hired & sold. Plus, kayaking Outdoor Education are run from the centre. Check out the schedule for next season if you want to learn to kayak!

Finally, The River Centre is the the base for Mangaweka Adventure Co, an old established adventure company in the Rangitikei Region.

The centre is going into its 4th season..and going strong.
